I started working on my nutrition in 2023. Quick backstory, I was raised in the diet culture of the 80s and 90s and lived my life for many years with an eating disorder and when I wasn’t I thought 1200 cals was a normal amount of food.

However, I kept seeing women on Instagram who were fit and healthy claiming to eat 2300-2600 cals a day. How?! So I worked with someone on getting my maintenance cals up to 1800 last year cause I wanted to eat and be strong like these women. However, I was also struggling with weight gain which is normal when you go from 1200-1800 cals and hormone changes as I’ve aged have not been helpful in keeping weight off. When I turned 37/38 20 lbs just showed up for no good reason and it’s been a struggle ever since.

In March of this year I began working with Fit2Eat on my nutrition. They took me thru a six week cut with was challenging but not horrible and then a slow reverse out. As you can see from the pictures, which aren’t the best cause I’m terrible at taking photos, changes have happened. I’m currently in maintenance (ladies, we don’t have to live in a deficit!), and Fit2Eat has me at just a smidgeon under 2000 cals a day and I’m not working out nearly as much or at the level I was two months ago due to a recent hip surgery and UCL tear in my elbow. As she kept upping my macros/cals, I kept asking, “are you sure, Are you sure?” Fit2Eat said, “yes! Your body can do this.”

I seriously cannot believe I’m eating this much food and maintaining my weight/weightloss. I’m working on healing my relationship with food, learning it’s ok to eat CARBS, and I had to share with everyone here because it is possible to eat MORE and not gain weight. Your metabolism can do it, it just needs your help.

If you’re looking to focus on nutrition, lean out, or build muscle I simply cannot recommend Fit2Eat enough.  Twice weekly check-ins, personalized plans, helpful hints, supportive, and affordable. I have much further to go on my journey, leaning out and once I’m healed building my muscle back up and I know Fit2Eat will help me achieve my goals.
